A specific confortable room is reserved for patients to collect semen samples.

Same-day surgery activities

Day hospital surgeries allow patients not to suffer the stress of a long hospital stay away from home and work. Moreover, the presence of professionals of different specialities, , have made it possible to provide a new and modern model of care for patients from a medical and psychological point of view.

Laboratories

The embryology, andrology and cryopreservation laboratories are equipped with cutting-edge instruments. The aim of these laboratories is to maintain ideal conditions for gametes (oocytes and sperm) and embryos during all phases of treatment and to optimize their assessment.

Great care has been invested in the selection of the best culture media non-toxic plastic materials and more than 20 incubators (with control of both carbon dioxide and oxygen) in order to guarantee a customized embryo culture and to support the best embryo development.

There are also high-magnification instruments to assess the morphology of the spermatozoa (high-definition microscope: IMSI), as well as the maturity and quality of oocytes (polarized light:POLSCOPE).

Moreover, the introduction of automated instruments that allow continuous acquisition of images (time lapse: EMBRYOSCOPE) has made it possible to assess embryos non-invasively, i.e., without altering the culture conditions during observation and to identify new criteria for the evaluation of embryo developmental potential at the very early stages of pre-implantation development.

Identification and continuous traceability of samples is an essential aspect for operators and involves a great responsibility. For this reason, our Center has decided to adopt the most modern and safest system currently available (IVF WITNESS). This system is completely automated and has already demonstrated maximum safety and effectiveness. Each container in which the gametes and then the embryos are kept are labeled with electronic tags that identify who they belong throughout the entire process.

The high technological quality of the center, the competence of the entire staff, continuous technical upgrades and scientific progress have made it possible to achieve results in line with the best centers around the world as extensively reported in the most important international scientific journals in the field.
