IVF – ICSI

IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation and Embryo transfer) and ICSI (Intracytoplasmic sperm injection)

The terms IVF/ICSI refer to laboratory techniques that allow the in vitro encounter between female gametes, retrieved through transvaginal aspiration of the follicular fluid, and male gametes, obtained after the preparation of the seminal fluid sample.

The main indications for IVF/ICSI are:

  • Repeated failures of IUI
  • Immunological factor
  • Reduced ovarian reserve
  • Male factor
  • Tubal factor
  • Endometriosis (III-IV stage)
  • Genetic factor
  • Idiopathic Infertility

In Vitro Fertilization and Embryo Transfer (IVF) with classic in vitro insemination and/or ICSI technique requires the following steps

OVARIAN STIMULATION AND ULTRASOUND

AND/OR HORMONAL MONITORING
